Was a very stupid thing to do I know... but was leaving DanDan's just after midnight with our friend (Who was in his Calibra)

We then pulled off a roundabout onto a lovely straight empty dry road and naturally as you do *rolls eyes* we.... (just incase you havent realised whats next) ... floored it.

Side by side and as we got to about 90+ i was just about to overtake the Calibra WHEN we I spotted a police car coming roaring up behind us with blue flashing lights!

"ooh fccuk!"

We both stopped and pretty much just got a slap on the wrist! EXTREMLY lucky cos the copper was just finishing his shift and had turned his camera off! Got a compliment about the cars though!

Then after we pulled off the dual carriage way to stop to get over the shock ...when the copper pulls up in his green old punto.

We stood and chatted for about an hour about cars and he tolds us what to look out for!


All in all i'm BLOODY relifed

Ooh and annoyingly it was a 2.0 diesel Ford Focus that caught up with us


Though he said he struggled to catch up with us! and admitted that the cars could of both out run him Though we're not THAT stupid!

Haha lucky boy! So what did he say to look out for then?

Told us what unmarked police cars there are in the area and the best country roads to speed on


Was a nice guy in the end, he was into his bikes and he said that he has done exacaly what we did!

I'm suprised and shocked he let you off. Street racing should be punished every time imo.

I dont usually speed. First time was becos i hadnt driven the alfa in ages and last night it was only cos my friend was there in his Calibra! If he wasnt i wouldnt of even gone that way home!

Is some good ones, i moaned but i was on video doing 137mph by an unmarked car on the motorway and i got away with 4 points and 250 quid fine because the police man put me down for 95. Yeh there are some good police people out there but dont rely on it.

Right now this is silly,

I got pulled last night for "not wearing a seat belt...

And i admit, i was not...

But i was wearing a 3 point harness..

So the nice but dim police man said to me (by this time i was out of the car)
Admit to me and you will only get a fine lol
ok mate you win, i was wearing a 3 point harness...Police man then said, you were not wearing any thing, come on just admit it..

this went on for 5/10mins out side...then my Mrs (who is a qualified lawyer) turned to the copper and said that he is badgering me to admit to an offence i did not do and that he is breaching some law ect..

Well he didn’t like that lol

he got on his radio to traffic police to come down, checked the harness was road legal, checked the tyre's brakes, lights and all my details and gave me a breath test.

By this time i started to lose my temper so i asked for the 1st coppers name and badge and filed a complaint against him.

that made me think, how many people have been done like that?

been made to admit to a offence when they have nopt done any thing wrong.

i think the police do a hard job and are hated by lots but they really dont do them selves any favours.

you get some one on a bad day, thats they can pretty much knacker up the next few days for you!

i have been lucky as its rare i get pulled, the times i have been its been a pleasant experience with them just doing there job. as soon as they had done theres, i was let away to carry on mine

there are good and bad out there, tis a shame the bad spoil the reputation for others

There are some nice police in Peterborough Matty..

They (a Focus estate marked car) came down once when were were in a big group just sat chatting (All VAG cars with the exception of mine and a mates 182) and checked over all our cars etc and they've been good as gold ever since, come down most nights and have a friendly chat, took the p*ss out of my mates mk2 race car that has no interior (offered to have a whip around at the station to buy him some seats etc haha) and scared the sh*t out of some chav's in a fiesta by sneaking up to it and putting on the sirens.

You just have to be polite to the local plod round here, they are mostly ok

I think I may have been clocked yesterday for speeding. I was driving back to Birmingham from Kent in the girlfriend's Micra. All the way I had been pretty much sticking to the speed limit but for quite some time there was a middle lane hogger pissing me off so I went to overtake. It was a stretch of motorway that was downhill and I got up to about 85 when I was overtaking. This was the only time on the whole journey I had gone that speed and what did I see up ahead on the bridge? A bloody policevan and speed camera. Gutted. I really hope I don't get done for that.

On the radio at lunchtime they were talking about introducing legislation whereas all new cars would have to be fitted with flourescent yellow seat belts so that they could be spotted more easily

because that would look loverly!

if people don't want to wear there seatbelt....why stop them? surly it will help clear out the gene pool a little. the only one thats going to feel the consequences is them. i think its a complete waste of police resources to pull people for seatbelts (unless there are miners involved who are not yet at the age to understand why they are important

i feel naked with out wearing a seat belt in the car, that said there have been more than one occasion were i haven't worn one (my own personal discomfort outwayed the potential risk and was at low speed)

at the end of the day, people shouldnt feel the need to protect people from them selfs
