how many revolutions of the engine has it done then??!! At an average speed of say 40mph, and in an average gear of say 4th, the revs would be at around 2,500rpm. At an average of 40mph, the car will have been running for 5,700 hours (or 237 days, non-stop), so at 2,500rpm (=150,000 revs per hour) = 855 million

Ah well - this will be the last mileage update before Sprinty goes to Coupe-heaven It turned 246,000 today and will be off the road from tomorrow (and will be re-insured for a few days for TOTB) So, here's some stats:- The car is 4,363 days old - the average daily mileage is 56.38 - an average speed of 2.35mph for its entire life I've owned it for 2,492 days and done 166,000 miles in my ownership - average daily mileage 66.16 Its done the equivalent of: London to Edinburgh 604 times Land's End to John O'Groats 290 times Round the world 8.8 times To the Moon, just once (but its 13,000 miles into the journey home ) There are still a few original bits - subframes, alternator, driveshafts, aircon compressor, most of the electrics, most of the interior and of course, the shell. I'll be really sad to see it go - its served me very well over the last few years. I reckon I've been sat in it for around 4,200 hours while racking up the mileage - the equivalent of 173 days non-stop

Has Nigel run up the highest mileage driving a coop, or is there contenders out there through ownership of a multitude of coops driven more coop miles?

You really should be running up another 4000 miles in it Nigel, because if you don't you'll always be left wondering........ Would it have got to the 1/4 million milestone seriously though, amazing mileage, looking forward to seeing the new one at MM in a few weeks, never seen a real live Plus before Paul

Nigel what's your target mileage for the Plus? Depends - if it goes like the last one, there's no reason to believe it won't have 200,000+ in the next half dozen years However, I reckon its more likely that I'll grow tired of the noise and firm ride and I'll buy myself an everyday hack for the big business miles, which will bring the Coupe down to a couple of thousand miles a year at the moment though, there's no sign of me getting tired of it, so the mileage will rack up at the usual 25 - 30k per annum

What happened your Coupe Nigel? I only check in here every now and again and you've far too many posts to do a quick search for the story.

so whats the total engine miles now? Its just turned 200,000 It had done 55,000 when I bought it from Mavric - it went into my Sprinty when it was on about 110,000. I put another 136,000 on it in the Sprinty, and I've added another 10,000 in the Moonie
