Ebay buyer caution. #789567

An engine that I have bought once and bid on and won has reappeared on ebay. The seller did not make contact with me even after repeated emails. I'm sure the engine is good but would advise caution to avoid frustration with the seller. Make contact first.

Could you please post the sellers name to help prevent anyone else buying from him?

As I say, the product may be right but I originally agreed to buy the engine with the guy's mate and he never called me back. I then won the item and emailed the whole week with no reply.

Report him to ebay for seller non performance, and leave negative feedback.

He probably didn't get as much for the engine as he was hoping.

This was it wasn't it..

Yep. Look at that feedback rating! I didn't leave feedback but imagine what'd be if I did!

The seller can't leave you negative feedback, so go ahead and leave him some. He cannot retaliate. laugh

Agreed, I would if he didn't supply you with your goods.

Yes please do it, keep it factual though and will help others avoid having the same problem.

Just to put the alternative point of view....

I've had a few bad experiences in the past on e-bay with buying poor quality goods, but at the prices I paid, I couldn't really complain.

A few weeks ago, I bought a 16Gb USB memory stick. When it arrived, it was only 2Gb, hacked to look like 16Gb. After studying the feedback, it seems the supplier was an out and out rogue, rather than just a supplier of crap, so I contacted Paypal and went through the issue resolution centre. Had to be a little patient, but in the end, they paid my money back, kicked him off e-bay and left me with a 2Gb memory stick for free.

Now I realise this was a low value transaction, and easier for them to just pay me off than spending time investigating, but it shows that it can work smile

Thumbs up to Paypal on my example smile

paypal is a scam at best. They did fccuk all for me and yet still "warn" me of outstanding issues on my account 2 years later.

Someone managed to get into my Paypal account over Xmas, and attempted to clear £700+ out of my bank account that I managed to catch just in time. In addition, they got someone to Pay $180 into it.

Paypal cleared up my missing money and got the account back correct, but left the dollar payment still there, and didn't really know what they were going to do about it!

It's still sat there as far as I know!
