You need some white reg plate bulbs and a white led reverse light too.

Remember you`ll need resistors for the indicators unless you want to look like a mobile disco at night laugh .

I got some extreme led cylinder bulbs from autobulbs direct I think it was.

I replace the glove box, both interior, boot and reg plate lights with them. look good but possibly over kill for the reg lights.

I also got indicator bulbs to replace but havent got round to fitting them.

The bulbs are all the same, even the larger interior bulb on the 3/4 was replaced with a bulb the same as the rest.

Beware. The LED fog lights wont fit the coupe in any location.

No probs mate wouldn't want anyone else to make my mistake.

The don't fit through the holes (large round peg in a small rectangular hole) and even if they did they would hit the fitting inside which renders most of the "bulb" unuseable.

I did the 3rd level brake light and mine don't come on. Very odd as others have reported the same problem so i appear to be in the minority.

yeah, i see.

but it looks chavvy and silly like a botch job.. i mean at night it may look a bit "knight rider'ish", but in daylight it gonna dangerous as someone could think you are braking?

these are pics i took tonight, when brakes is OFF..very dim red light shows..

hm ok thanks chaps..

reading around the only solution seems to be to add a relay into the circuit as a resister would only add more current..

There is still the issue of motorway driving at night, which could be a safety issue. and make it look like there is a fault on the vehicle and grab unwated police attention.

i have never had a problem from the police with mine and it passed the mot fine too. it just looks like another tail light, when the brakes are pressed it gets brighter. just acts like a stop tail light.

Maybe it's just one of those things people only post when they notice it. Mine don't glow, other than when breaking. Strange...!

I was going to try putting a pair of ordinary filament bulbs back in at either end of the strip to get rid of the glow idea . Just need to see how different they are in brightness/colour .

I`m pretty sure that when I was swapping the bulbs it wasn`t until I changed the last one over that I got the glow.

Spot on Baz..

This is indeed true, if even one filament bulb is left in, the dim glow will not appear. I will do the same and see how it goes.

Seems the easiest solution at present.
