Has anyone had these fitted on a fast road car running stage 1 setup?
i really wanted the pagid setup but after have loads of money drain out of me for different stuff i am forced into standard mintex pads and discs. Now i have had mintex standard replacement stuff before and its ok just like standard stuff but i have found some nice grooved discs that look good quality and omp fast road/light track pads for only £6 more so do you think i should go for the uprated stuff or not as i have a small budget of £200 for front and read discs and pads so won't get alot for that.
p.s i know its not ideal but bank says no after 2.5 spent on the coop in 2 months so i have no option, although next time i will get the pagid setup and a big brake kit.
thanks guys :-)

I've never tried OMP.

If you want a decently priced fast pad go for Mintex 1155's IMO

EBC Yellow Stuff front and rear pads are £128.80p together in the group buy section. Buy parts by have pattern front discs and EBC rears for £72.40p delivered.

So that's £201.20p + delivery for the pads. As Nigel has said in another post, it's best to save on the discs and not the pads in order to maintain the best overall braking performance for £££ spent.

I have OMP pads on my car. IMO they are pretty good.

They are certainly a lot quieter than the Mintex, and the car seems to stop just as well.

I am not sure what Mintex they were, as the previous owner just told me Mintex and didn't elaborate on that.

My discs are standard discs, although they might be pattern ones or genuine I have no idea, as they were there when I bought the car.

My rear pads are first line, from the local motor factor for £17

I got the OMP pads from YB racing on ebay for around £40

They were crap at first and I thought I had made a mistake buying them, but they do improve dramatically after they have bedded in for a few hundred miles.

So would you say the omp are a upgrade over standard or not much in it?
Just making sure the yellow stuff are £60 better than the omp's.
i do appicate this lads :-)

I didn't actually get to drive the coupe on standard pads, as it came to me with the Mintex.

The car does stop really well though I do know that.

I only have the OMP's on the front though, I got normal pads from the motor factor for the back.

The rears do hardly any of the stopping on the coupe.

I would go for it then mate.

I bought my Rear pads before I got the fronts as I needed them for the MOT last year.

I had OMP streetsport on my Uno turbo. They were very good around the track, better than green stuff. I have not tried OMP racing pads.

The pads i was looking at are fast road/ light track pads so pretty much what you had on your uno turbo.
