Well if you are reading this you know what it is, i am 99% doing this now, only total coupe failure will stop me I have asked a mate if he wanted to come along and do some of the driving, but he added it up and i think he has pulled out Would love to do the 3k miles with someone elso as i will get p1ss bored on my own. Anyone who wants to join me for the 800 odd quid fee plus their own expenses (i am paying for all fuel and fines (mine), tolls insurance for second driver etc then pm me or reply here. I am not saving anything by asking, but i think it would be a real laugh with a second person on board... Adam

Only 21 places left!
I'd love to do this but sadly don't have the money and it clashes with my Mongolian job.
Must say the locations, roads and parties listed do sound awesome.
John.

I did this.. www.rustywing.co.ukin Oct 04. The lads and I are STILL telling stories of the rally. I've done Stelvio and Furkapass in a 1.6l MK2 Golf and did think.. this would be good fun in something with a bit more poke. I'll have a think as inevitably it'll end up costing twice as much as the entry fee.

Cheers Adam - I'm still amazed by how many of these crazy rallies there are (though I have to say mine still looks the craziest !). John.

@ john, it does if anyone actually does it on the recommended chicken chaser (honda cub, how mental is that)!!! @ kenno, i think for me with fuel bills etc it will total another 600 quid for food and fuel, but must check italian fuel prices

Well nobody will share a room with me, so my plans of going are wiped out. Just cannot justify £1275 pounds on 8 days away and a room to myself. I am gutted to be honest.

I was expecting it to be 950 not 1200 odd... teams of two cost 825 each

It's only £950 if you can find another entrant to share a room with John.

thats what i have been trying to do mate... my mate dropped out 2 months ago, and nobody on the 5k wants to share. good start. i can see why it is nice to have your own room, but there must be ONE person willing to share. obviously not one person getting back in touch with organisers monday, so 50/50 wheter i can do this or not... may try the eurothrash instaed as have more time to find a partner and total cost will be less for me just be a bit embarrassed having the coupe tbh, some hot motors on the euro one

I'm still recovering from the event, rarely getting more than 2 hours sleep a night! I drove more mileage than anyone else on the event too. Was good to see a Coupe on the event, and it worked out well having you as a room mate.

only cos you got lost so much, and forgot your luggage. that doesn't count Suprised the coop made it. neefds some extra tlc now, more cost. Hope more of the forum are tempted for the next one as it was a frustrating but fantastic week. Hope i am not with such a terrible snorer next time

Blimey - the coop made it back without blowing up?!? I've been on a tunnel run with these guys.. I imagine that i would have been been running at 1.4Bar in top for the whole week!

cos it was 40 deg c on some of the days running high boost was not wise, and in the mountains the fueling was way off too, so kept it to 1 bar (240bhp) normally, and 1.2 on the first day or two. only gear linkage plastic bush gave me trouble, and warped discs, and posibbly a thermostat problem. i let the bad boys go fast alone, and just enjoyed my own driving time

Ah yes, I should have filmed that snoring! How loud?!
Got lost? I was fine, most of the time people were following me assuming I had sat nav!
I must say that your Coop looked good on those alloys, about the first time i've liked a set of non standard wheels on a Coop.
Thanks again for taking my luggage for most of the trip mate, see you for the dvd screening.

Phil is a top bloke alright, and so is his Boss Cerb , not only that he has another 4.5 Cerb that has just been remapped and treated to my induction kit , he also has quite a few other exotics in his garage............
