17" Alloys on standard height Coupe #735918

Hi all,

Does anyone know a vehicle on here that has 17" alloys, but at standard height (preferably with an LE kit). I was just looking into wheel refurbing and it seems that a new set of alloys isnt that much more. So I was wondering what the coupe might look like with some slightly larger alloys, but at normal ride height.

Thanks,

W

How is a new set of wheels not much more than a refurb?!

Well, I need two new tyres at the front, so thats about £130 for the ones I get, fitted. Wheel refurb is about £220 so thats £350 all in. For an extra £150 I can get a wheel package with the same tyres.

You'll need to go down a profile to avoid a slight 4x4 look increase in height! Clicky Otherwise looks good, I've 17" Momo's on mine with standard springs, all good.

Edit! I say this, I now have Eibachs so it's now 30mm lower to boot. Looks even better.

Have a look here although the tyres I had on then were a little too low profile adding to the gap.

It is now lowered though and got the proper rubber on it \:\)

Ex 20VT - now something far more sensible'ish... smile

only playing!

but in all seriousness, it depends on the tyres you go for, nothing over a 40 profile.

i have 215 40 17, stretched over an 8" wide rim (therefore tyhe sidewalls are at an angle slightly, reducing the apearance of height) and i wasnt happy untill it was lowered, nothing extreme, but just enough

i think the difference with your car frary is the skirts + front bumper give the car a bit more depth, so its less noticable than on a coupe with black sills
