There's a small slidey spring at the base of the barrel, you just use a small screwdriver to prise it out and the barrel will come out. Just remove two screws to remove the lever from the cap. Nice looking coupe by the way.

Thanks, I'll give that a go on the weekend.
The car's got a few cosmetic things that need sorting but on the whole it's in good condition. Both bumpers need respraying, the skirts could probably do with a respray too. I just need to find a good local bodyshop. If anyone's got recommendations (North London) please let me know.
The door handles are rusting but I've got replacements ready to fit this weekend.

Just rubbed down with wet&dry, then polished with T-Cut metal polish, and then waxed with Poorboys Natty Paste Wax.

dave to clean cap get a buffer and g3 take a look at the one in my sig takes 10min i use to try and do it the way your trying it dont work youll b there 4 days youll b in for a shock when done
