Thinking of buying my first coupe...

Anyone know this one?

http://www.specialistcars.net/newspecialistcars/carpages/34.html

According to the garage 'last owner was a mechanic and enthusiast so serviced it himself'. It would be good to know what that really means.

looks clean, what's that weed in the ashtray?

an enthusiast should have kept hundreds of receipts for parts, and written in the service book, so check for that

I have had several email of the seller of this car - he claims that the previous owner had the belts changed 18000 miles agao and the belts have been inspected and they "look recent" - quite how they were inspected is beyond me.

He also claims that he can change the belts for £200 and the parts are only £100 trade - the trade labour price he quotes he is charged is £17 per hour and he says FAST's price of £700 to to the belts in , well..........

I would have pasted his email over to here, but unfortnately I have deleted them and withdrawn my interest from the car as it doesn't "add up" to me at all and it all sounds quite bizarre.

Vile colour anyway.
