Hello everyone, I am thinking of selling my coupe. An was wondering how much i should be asking for it.
It is a 1997 (R plate) 20 Valve turbo. It is finished in steel grey with full black leather interior. The car also has Air conditioning but no sunroof.. It has covered 77,000 miles with some Fiat service history, and lots of receipts for parts and work done recently.
Also comes with Clarion CD 6 Disc multichanger.
The car has an MOT until 9th July 2009, and is taxed until end of November 2008
Recently it has had:-
New cambelt, auxillary belts and all tensioners 4,500 miles ago (have bill for £603)
New lower wishbones, drop links.
New Strut top bearing mounts.
New track rod ends.
New inner track rods.
New accelerator cable.
New lambda sensor (genuine Fiat).
New thermostat and coolant temp sensor.
Coolant replaced with Red 5 year type
New rear brake pads and discs.
Recent stainless steel rear exhaust section (nice burble, but not too loud)
Recent front tyres (Falken FK-452) Rear tyres are about half worn.
Recent air filter element.
New spark plugs NGK BKR7EIX
The car is pretty much standard apart from the GTEC 1 chip, boost gauge and boost controller. It also has a Baileys atmospheric dump valve fitted (DV26). All parts to put the car back to standard will be included, in case you have problems with insurance. The mods were only fitted to the car 4,000 miles ago so it hasn’t been run at high boost far all of it’s life.
Overall the car is in very good condition. It is rust free, and has been well looked after.
Now the not so good stuff.
There is a small dent on the passenger side just in front of the drivers wheel arch. I have been quoted £200 at a body shop for repairs, as well as a few small stone chips and small scratches as you would expect on a car of its age. The wheels although not badly kerbed could also do with painting as they look a bit tatty. There is also a slight tick from the manifold when cold (ok when hot) and I am told the steering is a bit lighter than it should be.
The car does come with 2 keys, one of which is the master.
The interior is in very good order although one fault I can see is that part of the driver seat some of the stitches have come undone on the bolster. The leather is not torn, and someone with needle skills could probably fix it easily enough.
I have had a good look at the oil cooler and pipes and they appear in very good order. It hasn't had a clutch as far as I am aware, but there is no slipping or other nasties.
How much should I ask guys if I decide to sell?
Please be honest as if its not worth too much I will keep it.
Simon.
