Good post guy's i'll make sure I get a copy of this. It's quite a good magazine too. Baz76 tipped me off about it a few months ago as they were doing the same for the Nissan figaro. (very thoughtfull forum this ) Hope I remembered to say thanks Baz. If not here is a big public thank you and a kiss (Don't tell Stan he'll only get jealous)

A very good article. Only skim read it so far but the facts seem to be correct for a change. Nice mention of FCCUK too L&M must have a very good PR man. They always appear in any article written about the Coupe, especialy in Auto Italia. Well worth the cover fee.

Errr....don't we have to wary about scanning magazine articles and then posting them on here? Breach of copyright?

Personally I do not want to see this scanned and any link WILL get deleted. The magazine is in print and easily obtainable and deserves our support buy paying the full asking price (£3.60). It's a different matter sharing scans of old articles out of print, which is still illegal BTW Please respect this. The magazine have given the forum and club a good plug. It is the least we can do in return.

Well there's some shoddy photoshopping. Why cut around the car, the wheels etc, but then not through the windows? You can see the fence behind the car. They even cut through the holes in the wipers, seems odd.
Also, FYI my coupe is originally from (and spent alot of its life being serviced by) Middleton FIAT in Bognor, which is the garage where the coupe in this article is to be found.

I have just read through the back page. Will certainly remember this if my belt ever snaps...but is it true? There must be a few on here who could either back this up or equally call it nonsense?

It essentially says that when a cam belt snaps it does not damage the pistons, only the valves are damaged.

Possibly on the engine type too? When the belt on my second Tipo 16v went "ge-donk" at 43k miles (I was doing approx 50mph constant - not accelerating) it resulted in all 16 valves being bent/distorted , but very fortunately no piston damage . Mechanic put all the old valves in a vase afterwards and presented it to me as a flower arrangement for the Wife!

This magazine should be in stock as it seems to be in a lot of shops (unlike Auto Italia - which can easily run out if you're not careful ) so doubt you need to panic buy - will probably get my copy tomorrow from Tesco in Bangor. Good mag this for the home enthusiast mechanic - my mate (who was a pro car mechanic for a number of years) has every issue since about 1986!! Very handy when they printed a Mercedes 190 project guide a few years ago - I managed to copy all the articles from him when I had my MB. They seem to run a few older Fiat (boggo models) & Alfa articles on a regular basis as well - not seen the Coupe mentioned in it before to my knowledge.

The yellow20v they feature really is mint. I had a brief look at it as walked past it to get to the parts desk. They've had it a few months, and remember it started out at 6 grand!
