Ok so I've got to refurb my Brembos due to a seized piston and have decided to give them a lick of paint, thing is what colour should I do them. I'm favouring red at the moment but am open to suggestions and if anyone has any pics of other colours post them up so I can see!!!! Dave

Silver looks the best, I think - classy!
You don't want red on a portofino blue car, do you!?
I have seen blue on a portofino which looked Ok - The picture was posted on the old forum I think on a car for sale.

How about Cossack Grey with gold calipers? I have to confess that I didn't spray them that colour (as you can see from the chips in the paint ), but if you abuse your brakes enough on track, they turn this colour ! Phil

I think red calipers on a sprint blue coop will look really good. Try doing a photoshop with different colours!
picture too large; max size allowed is 300 x 100 pixels, please resize 2000X 20VT+

Not too sure what to do!!! I'm really liking red and I suppose at the end of the day I've got to live with it and it's all about personal choice. Don't really want to them silver again as I'm going to be doing the wheels dark and I think silver calipers and dark wheels look odd personally. Had thought about doing them porto blue to match the car but it's being able to make sure the paint won't come off with the heat and I'm not sure if you can get porto blue made up in heat resistant paint. I've got another idea but might keep it to myself until it's done!!!!! Cheers for all your comments Dave

Red is just too common. The true mark of distinction might be what colour they use on say....the 911 Turbo fetaured in Begbie's new thread. Lets have a look then.....(tootles off to only find that..) ..the GITS have copied me and gone for...yes you guessed it!

Well they both now have new seals and I have one in primer and the other has it's first top coat and they are both sat on top of the boiler for the night. Told the mrs they will be going in the oven tomorrow probably. What heat and for how long is my thought now. If I put chips in at the same time will they both be ready together and will the seals survive!!!! Pics to come either tomorrow or tuesday. Just gotta get new hoses now too, might as well do the whole lot. The coop is costing a fair bit at the moment but the seized caliper is the first failure I've had all the others bit's are nicetise!!!! Dave

Hopefully the top paint coat and new stickers will go on tomorrow so might have pics up tomorrow night, if not it will be wednesday. This colour may have been done before but I haven't seen it on any others. All will be revealed soon!!!! Just hope the finish lasts, my bodywork guy told me it wouldn't be a problem.

No i didnt, i put the seals and pistons in after the paint had gone totally off, really worth leaving them for a day in a really dry very warm enviroment to go off properly though as i learned on one bit of mine but mask off the inside area with a few well placed bits of masking tape before you start spraying and make sure the edges are well on as the blow from the spray can peel the edes a little if you are unwary...

Mine are living on top of my boiler for 24 hours after each coat of paint, gets nice and warm in there and the paint has hardened nicely. Probably be tomorrow before any pics.
