Foot to the floor at 30mph, start the stop watch at 42-44 ish depending on your cars speedo inaccuracy, and stop it at the rev limit at the tonne. I tried this on mine 10 minutes ago.

9.8 seconds, it was 10.7 as standard. Not at all impressd \:\( . Add to the list though Welformed, I wonder if a remap will help this out...

But 160 on the clock could be as low as 140 in real life!

They are between 5-10% over actual speed. You would have been doing 144-152mph. I'll go with 149 ;\)

When my car was standard, I got a reading of 163 indicated - and took a photo of it on the phone :), which I'm just trying to dig out... _Tom_ and I went out in his then standard LE with a video camera and again, achieved 160 indicated (footage also still about somewhere) on a private road - in 5th gear and not 6th. With both cars, when the boost was upped, nothing really changed in terms of top speed as the turbo still ran out of puff at the same rpm. You need a bigger/better turbo and eventually, longer gearing to do the big speeds. Instead of using the speedo I used the rpm captured in the picture, which I think was about 6300 in top (on my standard 5 speeder), which worked out at 153.5 mph... IIRC. If anyone has the rpm/mph then they can run the calc for themselves!

As for 0-60's, the surface and tyres are of course hugely important, but I could definitely get 6 seconds out of a healthy standard car all day - and running a PRV at 1 bar, the best I saw from my car with a perfect launch was 5.6 seconds. With the untempered novitec and rampant overboost, the times were slower. Delivery is everything!

I've had an indicated 164 out of my Plus, can't remember any mods at the time apart from perhaps a PRV. I'm fairly sure my previous 20VT got into the 160s too.

I checked the speedo against a Snooper S4 and it was pretty accurate, even well into 3 figures, so I reckon my 164 wasn't actually far off the real speed - certainly not 5-10% over.
