25,000 in a year, at an average of around 25mpg equals 1,000 litres of fuel at £5 per litre, equals £5,000, but that's out of net pay, so that's about £8,500 out of my gross salary Ouch Time for LPG Nigel. At about £1200 for an install and half price fuel after that, you'd save a fortune. I've just got 400 miles out of my last tank of unleaded - 32.5mpg. Very happy with that James

Great stuff Nigel, treat your car to a professional valet to celebrate, and then sit on the back seat with a friend and share some bicentennial cake Julia ps If you would like to, send me the clock image and I'll try to weave it into the Club pages in the 2009 Club Calendar

Good to see coupes being used.
I bought mine in 2000 with 22000 miles on the clock, passed 140,000 miles today, original engine & turbo, good oil pressure, low oil consumption and no smoke. Not modded mind you..
I've changed lots of the standard 'expendable' bits, but the car has only let me down once and that was just a tiny split in a water hose. Service & oil change every 12,000 miles
Still not bored of it, so have just had the bonnet resprayed to cover up the stone chips, now looks brillant again..... It's going to take me a while to reach 200k though.

a few of us at the last red lion meet had a chat about millage.
who in the UK has the highest millage on the standard internals and has not had a re-build.
my mate Dan has 146k and has not had any engine work done besides tuning stuff and it still pulls like a train!
can any one top that?

iv got 136k and mines still runs pulls like a train aswell done 247mile round trip in it the weekend on half a tank. High mileage is nothing tome i think as long as a car has been looked after regular oil changes with decent oil and looked after like warmed up before boost and cooled down a engine in a 140k car is no different to a 80k. just my point
