Apologies...havin a mad half hour thinkin about many things couoe related. Latest thought. I dont like air con...never use it really and mine is playin up.....if I had it removed would it make any weight saving difference? Thinkin along lines of less weight more power!

not that much to be really worth it (IMHO)
Also count the loss in resale value of your car (as temps keep on rising and in a few years you'll be like us down here...)

Helps in shortening the piping to a FMIC though ;\)

the weight saved is reasonable if you take all the components out. Trouble on the 20VT is that you need to change the alternator and engine mount on that side as the aircon cars have no alternator adjustment whereas the non-aircon cars do have. I've done it, and unless you're serious I'd say it isn't worth it.
