Don't listen to them, Custard. Just a couple of well placed Ferrari badges and you're good to go.

Which country did yours come from carl to be a RHD? Mine came from Centro Automotive in Dusseldorf to quote the history. Was never built for the Uk hence the spec. Factory build papers slipped through as with every bit of paperwork when imported etc etc. It was bought here and registered by a company under Berlinetta. First owner and importer. So i figure it was ordered for being a Plus and a Yellow one and ordered through there for costs etc etc. Its not technically an import as it was never registered in Germany so like 50% of coupe's in the Uk doesn't mention anything on the V5 or HPI. Its a common mis conception that imports only come from other country's driving on that side, well its wrong. You can order a RHD car from somewhere in Europe and save upto 25%, same car just stops off on its travels somewhere. Its also why so many have the "wrong" details on the V5, many dont say turbo, many dont say LE or Plus just happens when there imported. My g/f's punto sporting on an 03 apparently came from Gran Canaria, just says 1.2 on the V5. Just a scam/cheap way of acquiring new cars. Oh and for anyone who has never seen a build certificate or whatever it is called exactly as in the pic up there, most of you wont its the only one ive seen there rather nice. Every detail of the car from length to weight, tyre size, build number, colour spec chassis number bla bla. Emissions outputs etc etc etc And before any memorabilia collectors ask, nope you cant have it, its to my yellow plus, with my chassis number an my original reg number, it stays with the car.

Also, BFG (British Forces Germany) cars. Bought to UK spec in Germany, tax free. Mercedes even gave a further 10% discount. The rules have probably changed since I was out there but you used to be able to buy one a year and sell it after 6 months and a certain minimum mileage. Wives could do the same. I know of at least one silver 20VT that was bought this way
