/\ not sure, but why do you want wider tyres at the rear? everyone knows they are front wheel drive, so it'll be pretty pointless, and IMO look silly. There may be some slight handling advantage, but if you were that worried just buy some better rubber (R888'S or whatever)

in adition, wider tyres at the rear may also slow down your Quarter mile time's (fractionally) if drag is your bag.

trust me the tyres are exactly the same on the front and the rear (give or take 1-2mm tread difference). i should know, as the cars sat about 6mtrs away from me.

You don't need a table, or list of size/profile combinations - you can easily work it out yourself. Profile is a percentage of the width measured in mm.

So a 215mm width tyre, with a profile of 40 - would give us an absolute sidewall depth of 86mm.

As stated - you want to keep rolling diameter the same or very very similar to stock - to keep the speedo accurate. If you keep the rolling diameter the same as stock, regardless of actual wheel size - you shouldn't get rubbing solely caused by diameter.
This ignores the possibility of rubbing caused by width though of course; although this shouldn't be a problem on 205/215/225 width tyres as these will be the same as standard (provided they're not stretched over a much wider rim!)

Phew!

I have 215/45/17 tyres round with 7"x17" wheels + 20mm spacers front and rear.

I am thinking about that 9"x17" wheels with 245/35 tyres that let me leave the spacers.

215/45/17:
Total diameter: 62.53cm
Sidewall height: 9.68cm

245/35/17:
Total diameter: 60.33cm
Sidewall height: 8.57cm
