Got an update!!!

Noticed that the clock, all heater/dash bulbs were out and the stereo was no longer turning on.

So thought i'd check the fuses. Noticed that a fuse i had replaced when i put a jvc headunit into the cinq, was blown. It was originally a 20 and i replaced with a 25. Now i've replaced it with a 30amp and all the lights and the stereo etc are working.

Now, remembering the probs up above, turned the stereo onto the radio and pumped up the volume and everything seems fine!! \:D

Tried to get it to run the dvd but as soon as i changed mode, the amp read as protection. However the girlfriend said today it was working etc. So, does this mean that the dvd player is trying to draw more amps than the fuse is allowing? And should i then replace the fuse with a larger one again and see if that resolves the problem with the amp? If that works then, the install can be completed in like 2 hours as everything else is connected!!! \:D

Right checked with someone else, AND because the fuse had blown, the headunit was drawing power from the amp turn on cable, which after a certain power drain it wasnt supplying enough power, hence cutting out and enabling protection on the amp!! \:D

This make sense?
