ok im having a problem here in NI getting super unleaded, and its becoming alittle annoying!

but the question i want to ask is, will i notice much of a difference changing from a Gtec2 back to a Gtec1 so i can run normal unleaded again?

either way chip 1 or 2 i plan to get a unichip remap in the furure over the top of the chip?

would i be better running a gtec1 + unichip so i can use normal unleaded?

Iain

Iain

On the rollers this morning the GTEC2 gave about 7bhp more than the GTEC1, plus a little extra torque, so not a great difference . I'm going to be sticking with my GTEC1, which feels little different on the road, and does allow for not being able to find super unleaded on occasion .

Iain - I'm getting a unichip in feb and will be taking both Gtec1 and 2 to see which they prefer to map over. I'm sure that you can run 95RON fuel with the unichip as it's a bespoke map. Believe the Gtec is used as a starting point.
