Slightly O/T but can anyone suggest where i can get a super cool number plate and surround like that one, looks like pressed metal with a surround 2 me but finishes the bumper off IMO???

Mariusz,

Finally got the thing unwapped this evening, would certainly not want to re-wrap it

All fine except three small bumps/paint blemishes on one side. Nothing to get excited about. Overall looks very nice and I am happy. Next challenge is fitting...

Cheers

Can anyone comment on how to glue the mesh to the bumper. Do you bend the mesh around the edges to increase the surface contact ? Advise please

Sorry Mark, I forgot to respond to your recent PM about this . Yes, you do need to bend the mesh around and then glue it in place.

Here are a few photos to help :

Well after a nightmare job over the weekend I am almost ready to put the new bumper on. Problem was the main screws to the radiator cowling; had to drill them out, must have been case-hardened, so I ended up buying a new drill and some titanium drill bits, but still took ages

Guys, Can anyone on this forum advise how easy it is and how long it will take to fit this bumper? I have just taken it to Chips r Away in Battersea and they said it is a hard job to do as they need to drill holes in the coupe and reshape the bumper as it will not fit straight in. They have quoted £600 to install it. Is that reasonable?

It has taken me ages and I am still not there, but then I did have some specific problems getting screws out.

I have found it necessary to drill holes in the bumper to mount the grill and fog lights, but this not too hard or time consuming.

Where I am now stuck and need HELP is fitting on to the car. It is still about 3/4 inch away from where it needs to be, seemingly fouling on the ducts the direct air to the oil cooler etc. Getting pretty frustrated A question for anybody who has fitted one - do I need to trim the plastic/rubber ducts to allow fitment or just keep pushing and shoving

Please....

Mark i trimmed the oil cooler duct and removed the IC one cause iam running a FMIC, but if you leave it on it will need trimming.

Mark, don't get too mad trying to offer it up & DON'T push too hard, you'll crack the gel coat, then you'll

PM Mariusz & see what he did

You could also sprinkle some talc powder on the rubber edge seals on the front of both air intakes & see where its wiped off when you offer up the bumper, then just trim carefully using a file / small hacksaw
