I've just got a quote from Admiral for a multicar policy, and the cost of my soon to be 20vt was £367.00, fully comp!
My other car holds the full NCD which would be protected, so the above was in effect with zero no claims (but discount for using multicar).
I'm 25 so was expecting more than that. Excess is about normal at £250 voluntary and £100 compulsory.
Sounds good to me!

They won't quote for a modified car though, even a strut-brace

I went with Admiral as well on the same policy looks like I won't be buying a strut brace or non standard exhaust now then.

I guess it depends which 'sales person' you get, most of them wouldn't know what a strut brace was if it hit them between the eyes (hmm, now there's an idea ) The guy I spoke to this morning said their underwriters would consider it a modification to the manufacturer's original specification and would be expecting me to drive round corners faster , it would be Ok if the car originally came with a strut brace, like errm a LE All I can advise is that you get everything in writing with regards to modifications, as in the event of a claim they'd probably refuse, saying the car had been modified

As an update, I've just re-insured with Bell Direct, (same parent company as Admiral) for £370, the strut-brace adding £30 to the premium. Still that was a saving of £60 from my current insurer - First Alternative.
I'd only go with Admiral if your car is completely standard and you're going to keep it that way.

Renewal quote from Directline 471 + 78 protected + 20 motor protection so near enough £570. Dont quite understand how they got this quote because when I try the same online I get a quote of £420. ND quote today was £525 Admiral quote £330 with protected no claims discount. So I think it will be Admiral then. I am 35, full no claims and no convictions or points. In leafy Essex. The above included the wife.

I should have organised comission with Admiral......arse.
I've got 2 cars (one is the coupe) insured with them, both with wife on, protected NCD on one, just over £50 a month, not bad for a 25 year old!

I can also testify to that - had a multi-car policy with them for last 6 months, both Fiat & an SLK for each <£350. Have also had to claim (while abroad) - no problems

Try Bell.co.uk I'm sure it will cheaper, and they're part of the same group.

bell were slighty more expensive than admiral. but if you go with bell and pay i think 27 quid more you can drive any other insured car even on TPFT policy. best to quote online though.
