Having recently bought an ink black turbo plus, it crossed my mind as to whether this motor along with limited editions, or any coop for that matter, would actually reach a point in time where the vaue started rising again. Am i being nieve/over optimistic?? I mean you can still find corrados fetching 7K, and motor mags always seem to label the coupe as a modern classic!! So why not???

Maybe if you get in in concourse condition and let it sit in a heated garage for 20 years you may see a return. But is it really worth it?

I guess if you keep them low mileage and in pristine condition theres no reason why they wouldn't but not for another 20 years probably. By that time mine will have about 400k on the clock. It's far too much fun to drive to try and keep the milage low -

They'll definetly rise in value, However I'll wager it won't be under our ownership periods.

Coopless!

Yeah for sure. I bought my coop for the buzz of driving it , not for it to be sat around gathering dust. I was just curious as to whether it might be sooner rather than later. I guess as time goes on and there are less and less coops on the road, then the value of any good condition ones remaining may start to increase.

I bought mine for £4.5k two years ago. Wouldn't part with it for less than (or..think I could probably get at least) £5k today......So mine's increased in value! In fact I don't think I could/would sell it for any price - so that makes it priceless!! Makes driving to work (almost) a pleasure.... (What could I afford to replace it with that would turn so many heads?)

Ive always thought if i could ever get enough money and a twin garage i would save up and buy the lowest milage chrono grey with red slashs one i could get as that would be the best LE i would want and maybe get JimO's old one with the super interior and stick that in the garage as well and keep my ol fart machine on the road

My plan too, hopefully next year, I'll have my two bay garage and I'll be striping out the dash (to sort out the creaks) and getting a full respray and cutting the mileage back on my standard coupe.

A Chrono Plus grey could keep it company!

KP, was JimO's old car the one with the Electric Blue one with cream seats with blue piping on the edge??

no. the coupe is doomed and will be a forgotten classic. Then again Rover SD1s are now sought after, especially the Vitesse Think Coupe will be the same. It will achieve classic sought after status way too late for us

Bugger, I don't like the sound of that JimO!! If I hadn't bought my one a couple of months earlier, I would have gone for your old one! She was MINT
