What do you guys think of this style wheel ?
Its a true light weight 18" 6 spoke alloy.

This is how they look on a coupe clicky

If anyone is interested then take a look at this thread in the group buys.

Yes this was a shameless plug but I am interested in what people think of the style

I've got Dare v5's in 18" size, and I'm very pleased with the fit and quality of the wheel, so these should be just as good!

For me, I think I'd prefer to see the centre covered, but that's just my preference.

Very nice , but I'd prefer them in black and to be 17s .

One gets almost as much rubber in the sidewalls in 225/35-18 as in 215/40-17 as the 17"-tires are slightly too small in diameter.

I thought the 215/40-17 were exactly right (606mm)?

No 225/40/17 would be a perfect match, but the closest you can get is the 215/40/17

I also think you start loosing grip with the 18" compaired to the 17", the only reason i think this is due to myself and a work mate had to swap wheels on 2 mk4 4motion v6 golfs, 17" for 18", first i drove the one with 18" and found whilst he had grip i was over steering and sliding, so he took the pi55 you can't drive etc.... then we swaped the wheels over and tried again, i now had the same car but with the 17" on instead off the 18" and i was gripping and he was sliding with the 18" and it was my turn to take the pi55

Were they the same type of tyre Adyr ? Most fast cars come out of the showroom with 18" alloys and larger these days.

The smaller the tyre wall the less tyre roll and in theory the more grip you have.
