Following the death of the stealth amp box due to the high cost the company was looking for, I was thinking…

Maybe we can all come to gather and develop one our selves, I.E designing one with the measurements and items needed, or even a how to guide,

I know there was a guide on here but I don’t think it was detailed about what to cut where and dimensions, materials and the such.

Dose any one think this a good ideal and if so what could they contribute? (time, trial and error, designing, advice.)

Your comments please

Excellent idea to have a faq on how to make the basic box with some dimensions and how to fabricate something from glassfibre.

On the old forum there was a detailed guide on how to build a sub in the boot, but unfortunately it has gone. Managed to build one myself using MDF and silicone sealant.Fibreglass is too messy. Only used an 8" sub as thats what I had to hand. Made sure the enclosure stopped short of the rear light cluster so it would be easy to change bulbs. Sounds great and has enough oomph to shake the rear view mirror. Ask Nazo what it sounded like.
It was a bit of a rough job but as I covered it in carpet stuff I didn't care. Just don't forget sound deadening inside the enclosure and behind it as mine can buzz if the levels up too high.
Most awkward bit is shaping the MDF to fit the contours. Use a paper pattern to rough cut then finish off using the MDF.

only have this pic of finished box

I know it's stealth box for the boot (but have u all) thought of slinging the sub(s) 2 of em directly in the cabin area (behind the interior quarter panels) there was come chappie on here who had done it (looked pretty damn good too).

So although I was intending to go for the stealth in the boot I think if I can get away with doing the semi build in the rear of the cabin area (this too would also be) stealthy as now one would ever know (until you thump out the sounds that is)

Yes you are Silvio

Hey the coupe is really only for "two" (tall people)
and maybe some jackets or bags on the back seats

Also you don't want to have too many init (weight factor) and all that

Sealed the whole lot up but not very well so probably some small leaks.
