You have an adapter n there Kev, thats not the kind of outlet i gather that ATP want to make but more the housing itself actually be the same as standard so it fits onto the standard downpipe..

Good work Pleb and Matt if ATP make a 2.25 connector that’s all our preys answered it will make any Garrett turbo a bolt on fitment straight from atp for a bargain price in fact if atp make the 2.25 might as well get the RS it will still work out cheaper than the R and a flange from u.k with change to spare Me and jamiepm fitted an rs there were no problems with the actuator although to fit it you have unbolt the actuator then spin the housings (clock the turbo) this takes 10 mins and then bolt the actuator back on this is not rocket science P.S I’m sure jamiepm has a picture of the 5 bolt to fiat flange which he made to fit my RS to the std down pipe the other year before I had the 3 inch down pipe, I’m sure this would be a great help to ATP any pics Jamie?

Thanks has to go to Matty and others who have shown interest and emailed ATP directly as this has helped show interest which as always shows us in a good light and that we like to throw business to the better companies we know of

I've had a look around and can't find any pics, I sold it to CHRISB on here. If people can wait a week I'll knock up a S/Steel OE fitment that can then be grafted onto a Garrett 5 bolt assembly. Someone get back to me if they want me to knock this up you can then send it off to ATP so they can measure it up and make the adaptor you all need.

Hi Kingpleb,
I sent you some pictures of the GT28RS installed + downpipe. Also a GT28R picture to compare the actuator size and position in it. If you need some spesific pictures, let me know and I check if I have taken kind of.

Cheers Jari, Ive forwarded on the ones i think will be most usefull to ATP of the actuator mountings and such like as we are looking to get it ready so it mounts directly to our standard 2.25" Vband downpipe

hello king and others!
I saw that you spoke about a price of negotiation with ATP around 500 (750 euros for us) for a turbo kit. It for a GT28 R or RS acts? in addition, I transmit all information on the French forum with an aim of a group buy. I currently make a survey so as to indicate to you how much of anybody could be interest. Give me some new's. Thank you

It will be for a GT28R i think the RS is a few more pounds but it depends what you want from a turbo, i reckon if there is neough interest in the RS we could get the price down a little bit im sure Checked and price as it stands at the moment for the RS and the bits is £758 to your door but im hoping we can get this down a bit as a kit and the 2.25" outlet we need.

May I put myself down far an RS please as I never got round to getting a turbo. Could you just clear up one point though. As I understand from reading all this it will direct fit the standard downpipe, but will it also fit the uprated one from Barbz?

Ive never seen an uprated Downpipe from barbz V666. The best thing i can suggest is ask Barbz direct if it will fit... If he wants i would welcome his opinion on all this as well if he would like to pop by

Ask DrFrag about fitment as I think he has the GT28RS with a uprated 3" downpipe on OE fitment

Near the start DrFrag wrote, Quote:

I must stress that the above v-band adaptor is for a 3" v-band and will not fit either the standard downpipe or one of Barbz uprated 3" Downpipes as these all usual the standard 2.25" v-band.
that is what made me think that if the standard downpipe will fit the RS than also the uprated downpipe would fit.
DrFrag - any chance you could clarify this.
Thanks

If the above statement is right as im reading it then Barbz Downpipe should fit as it will go from 2.25" Vband to 3" all the way to the end of the downpipe so it will still use the same Vband clamp as the standard unit

Direct from ATP, Quote:
Will you're awesome.
We do need a few more shots focussing on the v-Band ring on the housing, is that possible? We want to see the contour shape of the ring.
Can you take down some quick measurements on the inside diameter of the ring, the outside diameter of the ring and how thick it is. A side profile of the v-band ring to get the angle.
What is the outter diameter of the compressor inlet?
Can't tell by the picture but... all 4 holes on the turbine inlet flange tapped or some are drilled through?
Lastly, if you could write down the P/N from the metal tag on the turbo, we can try to pull the drawing and confirm the dimensions.
Thanks a lot!
Can anyone provide the part number or pictures they are after as i dont have a turbo lying around at all
Anyone stopping by Rogs/Icebergs/Barbzs and fancies asking if they could borrow a turbo for a couple of pictures and measurements at all??
Thanks guys, Will
