Despite the newbie tag I'm an old timer.

So my old yellow 20vt has been laid up too long.

It always smelt of wet tent even back in 2008.

So in 2010 ish I was knocked of a bike. Could not drive. So took the interior out to sound deden and fit all the ice I had bought.

Well I found why the front wheel arches were perforated behind the arch liners and the floor pan rusted through from the inside.

What I've learnt since is I can weld but can't make panels for love, money or toffee.

I saved 10k for a restoration
Spent that on a v12 Jag.

The Jag happily eats all my money.

I know if I goto retro rides or youtube I can find people saving worse cars.

But I don't have the skills.

So costs for reservations?

Time to let go of my favourite car?

Probably needs an engine
Turbo
Everything!

I've got some suspension parts.

Who's done a new metal restoration?

Front arches
Floor pan
Rear arches
Probably sils
Front chassis legs

basically I think the roof is sound.

Thinking logically,

You could buy a working Coupe for now-for less and have it as the inspiration to get the original car back and running.

If its beyond saving for you at least you have a donor for the things that are just not remanufactured now/ Or can keep it as a package if you sell them both in the future?

Regards
