If people's routes go anywhere near Luxembourg that has always been much cheaper for fuel. Belgium too isn't normally too bad. The worst places are usually Netherlands, Switzerland & Italy.

But even my local place is between 1.70 and 1.85 depending on the time of day; prices here are silly volatile. I thought I was going bonkers when I first noticed these "Variable" prices in Germany. I walked past a garage to get to a bakery, minutes later as I returned the price had increased. Then just a few hours later it had changed again, I mentioned this to my friend who told me "This is Normal in Germany." Prices here at home are though all over the place. I popped to the local Shell recently and filled up with V-Power, but I failed to check the price. £1.78.9 / L The local BP was just £1.59.9 / L for their ultimate so I should have checked the car, which does list petrol stations by price. If only I had bothered to look at it

Many of you will realise this already, but thanks to a prompt, Luca has confirmed that for the gala dinner on Saturday a customary Italian 'dress code' applies.
That is, 'smart casual', which may include a good polo shirt, but please no tank-tops, shorts or 'slippers' i.e.flip-flops.
This code tends to apply in general for eating out in the evening if going to a good restaurant.

Luca has worked some magic and located a restaurant about 10 minutes (on foot) from the hotel that can accommodate us all, booked in advance. This can only be done by offering a fixed menu though, details of which will emerge shortly. It's likely there will a limited choice, based on fish, meat or pizza, with dietary requirements factored in.
Our contact in NL who is coordinating with Luca will draw up a registration form upon which confirmation of attendance, names/contact details (mainly to avoid no-shows) and menu choices can be entered.
Latest numbers attending are 55, composed as follows:
UK - 22 NL -18 AT - 2 DE - 11 F - 2
Apologies, I've been out of range this week, so missed this. Is it too late to join the party? Cheers

Dang - shame I'm missing the FCA Heritage visit Friday afternoon Been on their site and they have a good selection of vehicle on display including at least two coupes.

I hope the weather improves in the Turin area come next weekend. Just seen some scary scenes of flooding and hail storms from last week We're watching it with care; we'll need to drive right through the wet bits (coming through Switzerland from Berlin) but it looks as if the rain is expected to stop today or tomorrow. At the moment the only motorway closure I'm aware of is a big stretch of the A16 in the Voralberg (Austria, west of Innsbruck). Neil
