This has a very good pedigree in terms of cast and production: the team that made Misfits plus involvement with Top Boy. Many of the actors were in the latter, plus the excellent Michael Socha (Tom in Being Human), in the lead role.

I thought it was a promising start; daft premise, black humour and sufficient threat from the bad guys to make it interesting.

Incidentally, I recently binge-watched Top Boy series 1 and 2 on the recommendation of my 17-year-old stepson.

Several levels down in length and scope (oh, ok, and quality) from The Wire, but nonetheless a very good, gritty drama about North London drug-dealing culture.

The decision not to make a 3rd series has left me frustrated - I believed in the characters enough to want to find out what happens to them... Greatly recommended on Netflix.

That's on my list to catch up.

Thoroughly enjoying The Night Manager on Sunday nights, and Stag on Saturday - although that's a daft night for it.

Happy Valley passed me by, but ended up watching 3 episodes last night which were good.

Shetland was enjoyable, but needed either a good edit, or a good kick up the arse to get it going

Murder on Thursday was....erm....a bit wierd, so not 100% sure on that.

He was, though it was never a series I enjoyed.

I've got it on series record but having trouble fitting it in at the moment.

Currently enjoying The Night Manager on Sunday and also watched the first episode of Steve Backshall’s Extreme Mountain Challenge, which I also enjoyed.
