I'll check when I get home as we have some although ours may be a slightly different model (pretty sure they're Binatone though). Ours have the same redundancy issue that Jim mentions although that is certainly a user issue on our part.
It seems to be a difficult task to explain properly that if you're shouting loud enough for the other person to hear through normal channels then it's rather pointless to be using a walkie talkie.
Up yours Photobucket.

Stepsons Major and Minor had them a few years ago. I recall that they make lots of beeping and crackling noises and are redundant when shouted into whilst in the next room from the other person using them.
Please Sir, do you mean the radios or the lads mentioned above Or in other words, the units are cr4p.....

It's the Terrain 750's that we have here. I can vouch that they are more than capable of relaying breakfast orders up and down the stairs but we (OK so I mean miniWishy and microWishy) haven't done any further testing than that.
Is there anything that you'd like to know about these ones? MiniWishy hasn't snapped anything off in the two months that he's had them so I would suggest that vouches for their robustness.
Up yours Photobucket.

Two of the cheapest mobiles, or hand me downs, and a coupe of PAYG sims would be a better bet. John if I told you my mobile is this it's arguable that I am to all intents and purposes upgrading
