Tried buffing with Super Resin polish. No change. frown
Car is far from perfect anyway but these things still drive me crazy!
Any last minute tips for tomorrow? Cash, waterproofs, folding chairs, leave scooters at home maybe?!

What happened to your mirror btw?!

Working on it!

I really enjoyed the day, a longish one but particularly the track session on the new blacktop even if there was a pace car cool

Spoke at length to the chap that used to organise the Scottish Italian Car and Bike Day at Hopetoun House, a meet that is now defunct due to venue issues, guessed he might be sussing out the revived Ingliston with a view to a future event.

It'd be great to have an AGM up here as it's the same date, assuming next year will be the same, especially as there's a chance of arranging a few laps and the hotel prices have come back down again after the Festival - budget ones nearby. Transport links excellent.

Heard later from same guy that Kelv27 had a coop argument a few days ago with two nutters in front of him frown he's ok thankfully but engine a mess - he's got a pearly white replacement for the time being laugh

Good team at Ingliston today, even several Mrs's and families arrived smile

Looking forward to our next road trip!

A pretty good event, albeit slightly marred by the appalling weather.
What we lacked in numbers I feel we made up for with quality. Four excellent, well kept coupés replete with equally respectable and cordial owners / families. It was a pleasure to take part and I look forward to the next one!
@ Jim - if a Scotland 500 outing picks up any momentum I'll be most interested. yes

We didn't quite make the 6 coops "expected" and AFAIK no others have checked in for today's final but even so I think we made our mark and there was lots of good craic about. One old chap came to speak to me at the end of the day, often these guys had done some driving in their youth. He'd been a director of BT down south and he'd been invited to attend an event in Thruxton IIRC where the guest of honour was Stirling Moss. The former racing driver then invited the director round four laps of the track in a vehicle they'd been developing, saying "I'm going to beat the lap record every time" - this he did with consummate skill (no idea if the passenger's eyes were open or not laugh ) then pulled into the pits. They got out and a few seconds later there was a loud bang and the rear section basically dropped off!

Our only bit of bad luck apart from a couple of hours drizzle was the wind catching the gazebo while all of us were away and bending one of the legs causing irretrievable damage to it - lucky enough helpful folk around saw the imminent danger of it collapsing onto nearby vehicles and secured it till our return.

Pics..

Exhaust pipe porn!

I'm going out to get the Autosol onto mine right now! How embarrassing!

I can top this with a 'most waxed Coupe' competition, although the colours give the game away...

it was so good with you guys on Saturday as was the great track session-that I went back on the Sunday too. Unfortunately I was a lone coop but still had lots of fun.
The weather was much better on Sunday so there were a lot more punters which hopefully will make sure the organisers at least break- even, and encourages them to do it again next year. Track sessions were great as it was pretty much full on behind a fast pace car. Had a great session with in the morning chasing a couple of Beamers and managed to blag myself 1 more sessions before the end of day. Took lots of pictures but none of my Coop or anybody else's! . Will post later. All in all I had a great weekend. laugh

Yes sounds like a lot more fun than my marathon hedge-trimming (it's quite a lot).

Numbers sound optimistic and in a day or so I'll fish around from the organisers what they feel about next year so that we can have the AGM up here laugh

I'm booked at Knockhill for performance driver tuition Thu 29th Oct at 11am. Wet or dry weather will dictate which car I take.
