Is this event Spa for the masses?
No supercars, just the track and the craic. And it must be cheaper than Spa too. but spa is a proper f1 track and is worth every penny to be able to drive it , for those that have been will understand what I mean , curborough is a sprint track so you don't get to open the coupe up like at spa but is still a fun day out with good company .

Im interested pending date and cost
But what's craic?
Is it used as a circuit? is it racing or just a few at a time? Cheers check out www.curborough.co.ukThe track layout looks child-like, but its fiendishly difficult to put a good lap together - track knowledge counts for a lot but the real attribute for a good time is a car with low-down punch and good front-end grip. A stock Coupe on trackday tyres will give about the same time as a 350bhp Coupe on ordinary road tyres Huge fun, especially in the wet, when you really get to learn about the limits Track layout has changed this year, with a figure of eight layout available as an option

A figure of eight layout sounds the better option for the coupe .

The figure of eight looks like fun. Probably eliminates even more of the advantages of big power too ! That and a bit of rain please. Thanks

I think it will be the other way around on the figure of eight layout as your have a nice long straight for the bigger power coupes to stretch their legs but no rain please

No reply to my email but I was given a phone number and spoke to the course secretary. Good news, we can book the circuit for a midweek date and have a good deal of flexibility with dates, however from Easter onwards it tends to be very busy. Since FCCUK last booked the circuit things seem to have changed with regard to costs, we have two options, priced per car.
Full circuit, 10 cars = £650 Loop only (not using the start straight/curve), 15 cars = £750 approximately
They are still finalising exact figures, but this should be about right. Track time is 10am to 5pm with a mandatory 1 hour lunch break, giving 6 hours of driving time. Helmets are recommended, particularly for the full circuit, but not mandatory. I would collect and drop off the keys at the start and end of the day.
I'm happy to propose a date in March, maybe a Friday? I can rustle up additional numbers from friends and guys from the Z4 forum and Lotus Seven club if we are short?
Thoughts?
