has anybody done this before that can give any tips / tricks to help me along ?

Hi, I'm getting the large kit for Xmas with the same plan. I've used it before on a Passat I had. Get the filler as well. Once you have sandpapered the leather the cracks appear a lot worse, I would then use the filler then sandpaper down again and then wet and dry the whole seat making it as smooth as possible. It's a good kit but it's all in the prep work.
What shade have you gone for. I'm looking at the Satin Black. Put some pics up when you have finished!

Most new cars are satin finish. The Coupe brochure I have looks like its a Satin finish aswell, they just go glossy with age

Definitely a satin finish on new leather, they just go glossy after years of people rubbing creamy leather treatment into them which is all a bit nonsense and does nothing for the seat, better off with a good quality sealant.
