weather is set fair for the next fortnight, so no excuses!
can i just check that the plan is to meet at the tea rooms at broughton at 11.00? we'll be coming up from carlisle and so there are a couple of ways of getting there.
just so that I don't do the same road twice, is the plan to get to moffat from broughton via the little road from tweedsmuir to st mary's loch and down the A708? If it is, i'll come up via moffat and the A701.

Straightforward from Hillend turn-off to Howgate, nearer to Roslin for DG, then the convoy proceeds to Laurelbank Tea Room and meet up with the Legolites if they've got up in time That's fine by me Simon. Sorry, I didn't read your post properly the other night and thought you were getting confused where Howgate was.

Spent a bit of time today preparing. Car is cleaned, polished and waxed. Wheels cleaned and waxed. Tyres scrubbed, dressed and pressures checked. She's ready to dance. See you all tomorrow ladies and gents.

I'm afraid you will be disappointed as the footage is not great - as it was the uninitiated Legolites - Sofia and Lewis who took the exterior clips with the monopod. Suffice to say they are not great. Young Michael who has used it before and has an excellent eye and photographic skills, was sitting on the wrong side of the car to be able to use it. He was also in Bernard's car part of the journey. I had meant to get the tripod and camera out the boot and get a proper group photo at the Hotel but alas forgot. So I'm even more annoyed because that was the best part of going to that Hotel. The few stills I took are just the same as the others that have been posted. I'll go check Michael's Pics, though he said his were not great.
