We flew with Ryan air once and I'll never fly with them again, I said before I'd rather walk and that still stands as they're shite imo!

We're flying down to Nice with Easyjet, pick up the rental and then 3hrs to Turin so plenty of time to take in some sites and relax in the hotel

I've done that journey Joe but other way round for Monaco Grand Prix. Flew to Turin and drove to Nice(Hotel) and back in an Alpha 159 estate diesel hire car, which was not much fun especially as it was meant to be a BMW 3 series I have memories of a helluva lot of Tunnels at the Nice/French end which was tiring on the eyes going from light to dark and shades up/Shades down(unless you have those self adjusting ones) Much better as you head inland towards Turin.

Jake has never been to Monaco so we're dropping in to visit on or way back which were my reasons for booking a flight to Nice.
I've been a few times, F1 back in 1986 which was simply awesome with the noise. I bet the locals will be happier this year with the new quieter V6 cars.
