They refer to a Current C1 price (?) of £3000.

Also, there is due to be a Practical Classics 90's Coupe feature in a couple of months time. Not sure of all of the cars featured but the Coop and GTV are in there.

I'd say that was about right for a standard 20VT

£3k for a C1 standard 20VT seems as though perhaps the bottom has been reached and they have started to rally?

It is time to stop thinking 'what can I get one for?' and start thinking 'how much would it cost to replace what I already have?'.

Those numbers are not the same, particularly if you've done a lot of work on yours.

Exactly as Barnacle says! Instead of thinking, it's only worth £... Owners should be saying its cost me this £ I've done this....... So it's worth £..... and I'm not selling for less. Only then will a rise be seen and more importantly insurance companies will value the car at that price. Like the Ford Capri 10 years ago they weren't worth anything. Now you need at least£6k for a reasonable one.

I saw a coupe picture yesterday that truly looked superb. Oh wait, it was your car Ross - bet you`re just kicking yourself that it`s not "the best colour to have this vehicle in".

Ahh, but I was in the 1990's future coupe classics photo shoot for "Practical Classics" magazine yesterday
Photographer was very complimentary about the car
John Simister also enjoyed getting back into one after a long time since his original road test back in the 90's

I best keep hold of all the air con bits I've removed. Im regretting drilling the air box already.

Hopefully, I won't be parting with my Coupe for a long, long time...so the talk of value is "paper" to me.

I know I'm not in a position to talk, but taste aside;

I think the spoiler on that £7K car is one of the original FIAT accessory ones!

Glad to see the MGF on that list for it's perceived faults I have had some great drives around the East Sussex and Kent countryside in mine.

It is, part of the Fiat Zender kit. I'm not a rear spoiler fan but this is one of just two that I think look fine on a Coupé.

I'll beg to differ Bob and say that IMO that spoiler on the red car is high on the list of the worst I've ever seen! It sticks out of the back and doesn't complement the lines in any way whatsoever. It's possibly even worse than the adjustable alloy ironing boards I've seen on some.

You have to remember that everyone is spelling the word incorrectly too - the correct spelling for such an addition is "Spoil 'Er"

Great news about the potential price rocket though - that's my retirement fund sorted! Oh hang on, no it's not, mine is scheduled to end up six feet under in due course, with me at the wheel!
