A flight plan is gradually evolving, in Barnacle's secret underground lair...
[list] [*]Sat 24th - Hemel to Munich (ish), one long drag through Germany [*]Sun 25th - Munich to Brescia via Austria and the Brenner Pass Heading to Brescia via Munich(ish) crossing the Alps taking the Brennerpass (Innsbruck) is probably the dullest (excusez le mot) way to travel to Italy. Having witnessed your driving skills at Spa I presumed you're the daredevil of all fccuk-ers out there. Seeking excitement in everything you do. Have you considered one of the more exciting routes through Switzerland; Splügenpas (2113 m.), Grimsel/Nufenen (2165/2480 m.), Sustenpas (2224 m.)?

Many years ago I drove down through France to Trieste via the Col Mont Cénis pass which is not far off the direct route to Turin. It was good fun, had very steep gradients and was quite twisty. Going north from Italy to the summit on a bike. There was no Armco when I drove it. (twisty bits at around 10 minutes) It's not open all year round. but should be OK by the end of May. It normally opens mid May.

@barnacle: point taken I was merely trying to offer some suggestions to you. @petep: Mont Cenis is a superb way, plus you avoid the Fréjus tunnel. I took that route 10 years ago going, leaving the motorway at Susa. As this was such good fun the Col de la Madeleine was shortly crossed as well.

It would also take four or five days, what with time off to fly a paraglider on the way... swmbo has nuked that plan! Why don't you take the glw a day out in Lucerne and let her chill out? A fantastic city and it also happens to be a perfect spot to fly ones paraglider clicky

A flight plan is gradually evolving, in Barnacle's secret underground lair... - Sat 24th - Hemel to Munich (ish), one long drag through Germany
- Sun 25th - Munich to Brescia via Austria and the Brenner Pass
- 5 nights in Brescia with room to explore the lakes, the mountains, Brescia itself and Milan
- Friday 30th - Brescia to Turin for the event itself
- Monday 2nd - Turin to Pisa (or thereabouts)
- Saturday 7th - reverse the downhill journey, but probably stopping to overnight somewhere around Frankfurt
- Sunday 8th - back home
All subject to change, of course, and nothing is yet booked... but the car should have an MOT next week so that's a start. Well we can't now go too EARLY as I've notice the British Round of the European Rallycross Championship is on the 24th & 25th.....and I'll be going to that!! So, sometime the following week = slow drive down to Turin through France - Belgium - Luxembourg - France taking one or two stops (Julio, got a bed for the night? ) Arrive at Hotel in Turin Thursday 29th. Friday - collect Adam from Airport - then Let the fun weekend begin Monday - Move to rented loft in Turin - spend a week in Italy (Take trains to Coast - Milan etc and drive into Alps) Following week dump Adam at Airport then spend a few days driving back, possibly via friends in Holland....

No, it is strictly 100 cars only. All the places were taken within the first week of release.
If anyone would like to take up any possible cancellations, please pm me your details as I am working with the organisers and will see what can be done. No promises though as it is oversubscribed across Europe.

With a massive amount of help from Petep and Kayjey, we've come up with a rally sticker for the Turin trip. Will post details of costs etc shortly. But for now, see what you think. I think Kayjey has done a great job of tarting up the initial idea. This is probably the final version, going to the printers, so unless there are any big issues you spot, we probably won't change the design.

Looks great, how about adding the date? (Except that it's a bit messy 30 May - 2 June) Will it be black and white like that, or colour? What sort of size? A metal plate to attach to the grille? Or a sticker to go on the door/window? Or a magnetic sticker?
