251 It does look good in the coupe. This is the only stereo I have ever thought actually suits it. They are also installed in older (and slower) porsche 911's

It is a bit dated, but so is the car I think what with the white buttons and text and the orange background it pretty well matched really. I did also buy an adapter to connect the iPhone to, but ……… it does not seem to work! Bum! PS - Maybe I should flock the stereo hahaha

I've got one of these Alpine CDE 126BT It connects to my iphone and ipod has a memory stick slot and bluetooth hands free. It's a great stereo and it matches the dash and heater illumination perfectly.

Klass; get in touch with Nigel if you're looking for a bit of a bargain. He's currently got a couple of "old skool" Sony decks with "blackout" displays and no visible buttons. These were produced before Sony fubar'd themselves with the "Xplode" concept so build / sq is still good. Google the model numbers for what specs they have.
Alternatively he also has a fairly recent Alpine 305 mechless deck that uses your ipod / iphone as a source.
All of the above have pre-outs for front / rear / sub amp duties and one of the Sony's may allow you to run 3 way active straight out of the box if you wish to go down that route.

Have a Sony mdx 8800 head unit in mine. The car was fitted with it when i bought it. These head units are pushing on. I recently renewed the ribbon cable the splits in these (about 10 euro part from China and fitted myself. You can get it to run in black panel mode. It has a standard credit card remote. Input is aux in using a 3.5 mm jack to 2 x rca. Also has a mute function with the car kit (nokia) attached. The front flips down to reveal control panel, and has the input for the CD. In addition to the credit card remote im running an Sony_RM-X6S IR commander (which i picked up in the USA) which i have on the base centre console towards right of gear stick away from window switch. Its very neat, and can be removed for security. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_18748_Sony_RM-X6S.aspxThis head unit might be a little more up to date. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sony-CDX-M9900...=item232291d08dBest of luck Main thing i like with this unit is it is non intrusive in the car, goes to black and you can hardly see it. The IR commander makes it even easier to use.

Well it only tookme so long, so yesterday bought and installed a kdc-bt45u by Kenwood. After switching round the ignition and power cables on the harness to suit the cabling on the unit everything is splendid. Installation was a breeze and even the bluetooth connection is reliable. Which is a great feat on any Samsung phone. I'm not 100% on the looks yet, but it's made a massive difference on the audio front even with the standard Plus speakers (which are great). I'm considering a small sub beneath a seat or somewhere it doesn't take up any space, but not cetain yet. Thanks everyone for the sound advice.

http://i59.tinypic.com/2yw7jf7.jpgPhoto is a bit sideways but I think Kenwood KIV suits dash pretty well... but in any case I never had any real problems with any of the Kenwood units... they seem pretty sound.
