Have anyone been?

I've got the offer to join in on a trip.
As this happens in November, I still have some time to decide and prepare, but I can save some money if I buy tickets now. At least for the plane...

Any tips on where to stay and what to see in Valencia?
Looks like it's going to be a friday-monday trip.

I went to the inaugural F1 GP at Valencia and, to be honest, I was pretty underwhelmed. The (F1) viewing arrangements meant that you were penned into an area and couldn't go wandering. We had a fantastic invitation to visit the pits but getting there was a nightmare. I don't even really have very positive memories of the city itself - it isn't somewhere I plan to go back to. I have no idea how the Moto GP circuit compares.

Valencia is one of the best rounds to go to! Not been but know people who have and the atmosphere is fantastic, if the championship goes to the last round in either, moto 3, 2 or GP you are in for a real showdown. Definitely go, you'll only regret it if you don't.

*UPDATE*

I went and it was jolly good smile

Very good crowd, good racing, especially in the Moto3 race.

The Moto3 championship would be won by the first to cross the finish line, and they went all out from the start.

The Moto2 championship was settled in Japan a couple of weeks ago. This meant that there was nothing to race for.

The MotoGP championship were to be decided in Valencia. The title could be won by Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo.
Marquez only had to finish top 3 to win the championship, while Lorenzo had to win the race and having Marquez on fourth or worse.

The race started good with lots of action in the first half, but after a while it became apparent that Marquez were driving safe to just maintain a third position to win the championship.

The only negative thing about the whole event was the logistics.
The race finished around three in the afternoon, but we didn't manage to get on a train back to Valencia before eight in the evening.
Cars and bikes were better off, but not by much.

Would I recommend a MotoGP race to anyone else? Definitely smile
