I use this software program, do you know how it compares with tools & features to the mainstream stuff you have to pay for?

I use this software program, do you know how it compares with tools & features to the mainstream stuff you have to pay for? Im a photoshop man and find that they are a million miles apart. That may just be because im used to photoshop though... Ive tried to use gimp on multiple occasions and have been pretty unsuccessful.

Thanks, I do find the Gimp program frustrating sometimes but the functions I do use/need for work are pretty good. I had an early version years ago so be nice to get to grips with it again at some point.
I've also have some vector editing/converting software, now that really makes me want to invest in a rounder's bat to sit by my desktop.
