On the 4x4 thing, it's just Hummers, X5s, Cayennes, M classes, Range Rovers etc that have never left the mean streets of SW3 that I object to...I have no issue with people actually using 4x4 vehicles to do the things that 4x4 vehicles are designed to do - tow, go off road, farming etc...not just carting Tristan and Sophia to and from school

And how can you tell what they are being used for? I've taken my kid to scholl in the G Wagen because I was on the way somewhere afterwards
What does it matter whether they are being used for their "core" design use. Why not slag off all the Ferraris driving round London stuck at 30 mph (and that's if they are lucky)
I'm sorry, this is just petty jealousy. This government tells us what to do (and what not to do) in any everything we do, we are a worse nanny state that in Orwell's 1984 and the most surveilled country in the whole of Europe. Don't let the b*****ds dictate what you (or I) can drive or we'll all be those mega-polluting hybrid cars that causes so much more "environmental damage" to make than a Range Rover will ever cause in its lifetime

And as a law abiding, car & home owning female I have no issue with this...in fact, generally I feel safer
And back on topic...
I saw a bright yellow Monaro this morning...not seen one on the road before

How many holes did it have? I remember one of my dads mates having a Maestro turbo brand new in the late 80's. As a pre-pubescent boy I remember it being the fastest and most scariest thing I had ever been in. I also remember the voice box in the dash was on the blink and it was only a few months old. It kept telling you to put your seat belt on despite it being firmly in place.
That said I'd love to have a go in one, although they say you should never meet your heroes.....

On the way back from Powerfiat yesterday I saw... Caterham 21, (broken down on the hard shoulder). Jensen Interceptor, (I've always loved the shape of these). Citroen 2CV - The later one with the slightly squared off arches and built in lights

Is a Nissan Skyline rare? Think it's a GT-R V-Spec R33. My mate just bought one to outdo my Coop and my mates TT. I have to say, I wasn't that impressed till I sat in the passenger seat and experienced 0-60 in the kind of time it would take me to have finished putting my seat belt on ! That was quite something. Since I made him log onto this site a few times, thought I'd mention it on here Ian.

On a grey sunday morning in march this year, I can remember the drizel on the window, I saw an Enzo Ferrari, I had to give way to it on the rounabout I could'nt beleive my eyes. I then followed in my coupe for nearly half a mile until it pulled into a side road to turn around. I think the guy changed his mind about going into town. The amount of people who turned to look at it probably made him a bit nervous.

Saw an Ariel Atom at the Dartford Tunnel on Saturday. He must of been loving life in the rain. Also saw a new Ford Mustang round the corner from where I live on Saturday evening. Quite big cars aren't they? Dave

need a bit of help naming this one!!! walking around Putney at the weekend... just as i was admiring the black 355 parked next to me ... (here we go) the car that Jeremy Clarkson bought on TopGear in the episode when Jeremy, Richard, and James are given £10,000 each and told to go out and buy a mid-engined Italian supercar and then are given a series of challenges to compete in with them and drive them from Bristol to Spearmint Rhino in Slough??? Gorgeous looking car... anyone got the answer?

Clarkson bought a Maserati Merak, Hamster had a 308 and May bought a Lambo, I think it was an Urraco or Espada but could be wrong.
Clarkson's Merak was supposed to be a SS, but it turned out to only have SS badges. Very similar looking car to the Bora, which May drove in a later programme. Yes I do watch too much Top Gear

That's the one!!! I watch Top Gear on sky far too much too! remember the situation with the badges. When the cars were on the dyno, he found an invoice for some work on the car including 2 SS badges at £38!! heheh!

Does a Renault Safrane count?
I pointed it out to Mrs Damo who craned her neck round to see what I was pointing at, she was very underwhelmed when all she saw was a large ugly saloon. I was left muttering that you don't see them very often, that's all
Bernie, I hope you're brother had the matching multi tone horn to go with it. Class!
