insurance due on the 26th renewal £499 do some shopping and i get £390 renewal with another company ..... told my renewal company and they will match it... is this some sort of scam .... do insurance company's think we are morons ... if this was gas or electric prices (now after legislation) the company's have to offer the best price by law its about time car insurance was told to do this or open the Europe insurance markets into the UK (and Sarah can you beat £390)

Please bear in mind that Price is NOT everything - you all need to check the covers - the only way we are going to keep these cars on the road is to make sure you consider the policy benefits.

Unfortunately, rightly or wrongly, we do not currently have a facility that lets us match another price. Personally I find it a bit harsh that one company/broker can do all the work and get a good price and then another insurer can just come along and say I will match that. But then there will be some people that think that is OK to do, so this may cause quite a debate.
