Well, after much research and a lot of work by MrsC, we have launched our new venture.

Motorarts

The idea is to combine a love of the beauty of cars with fine art in the form of paintings and photography.

Please take a look and let me/us know what you think...

We have already had quite a lot of interest from various folks and a few commissions in the offing.

The next step is to begin attending events next spring, culminating - hopefully - in a stand at Goodwood. Fingers crossed!

Thanks T! Early days, but it would be great if we can combine our passion and making a little cash!

Had a look, very professional but a bit too arty/abstract for my taste, but hey it is art!

Best of luck with the business.

The background took a while to load Jim, any chance of slimming that down a bit?

Hi guys, thanks for the comments. We're looking at the slow loading issue. We use a high resolution image as the background, so Caroline is going to try and slim it down a bit, whilst retaining the richness of the look. Part of the problem has been achieving consistency in the way the colours appear - the background on a MacBook is a creamy, green-blue, whereas on my laptop it's a much colder grey-blue.
We'll be trying to sort it out...!
We've had a great response from the owner of the Carrera 4S we photographed when we met him at Silverstone. He has been really enthusiastic and has posted links to the images on Pistonheads, which is nice...

Loaded fine for me. Any chance you could remove the watermarks, they ruin my prints? tongue

Thanks for the info, Derek - in fact Caroline has just reduced the resolution of the image so it should load faster, even if the overall effect is a little less crisp than she (as an artist!) would prefer.

I could remove the watermarks, but then MrsC would remove certain things I am quite attached to, so perhaps not, eh?!

Maybe just me, but I can't see any address. I know you're legit, but it's one thing I check for when ordering online from an unknown. Just a telephone number is always a little ropey imho.

Very good Jim, I wonder if Stewart Morley (Europa) is still active, he produced some very good motoring art, maybe some potential for reselling? smile
