I m planing on taking my 16vt off the road for a few weeks in order to fit a few parts and send turbo off, instead of using the girlfriends car as usual I thought I d buy a cheap run about to fill the gap.

So I bid on bravo hgt with 137,000 miles looks in reasonable condition and some history. I ev only seen pics on eBay lady owner. Well I won £350 and planning on picking up next week, been assured its in good drivable condition. Just going to check it goes ,stops , fan cuts in, clutch doesn't slip etc and I m happy.
I ev owned an hgt mk1 with 132000 on and that was ok, and a hgt155 with 82000 enjoyed both mk1 better though as had loads probs with 155 I sold it.
Hopefully it's ok and I ev bagged a cheap motor.

Any thoughts on this purchase from anyone?

Mate if it drives fine,buy it Can't argue at £350. I paid 1500 for mine 4 year ago lol
It might just be a runabout but get the FC chip for it,what a difference!

I m planning to pick it up Wednesday I ll post a picture if I do also I made a mistake it's done 132500miles not 137000, I get bored of the same car easily part of me says save money use the girlfriends car but the bigger part says get it have some fun lol get the 16vt sweet. even if it needs a cambelt I ll just attempt on my drive I read a guide last night for a marea 20v without taking engine out looked easyish. Happy days my first one was a right beast

ive still got mine,its got a cat back custom 'zorst twin exit back box,k+n cone filter with direct air feed +fc chip. est 160bhp With it being a 5 pot aswell,its like a rocket. I had my mate at the lights in his st170,once in 3rd i was gone..there was another time on a dual carriageway he pulls up next to me,so dropped to second,third and left him..priceless They are good fun the mk1 hgt's. Theyre not the fastest car around but good fun,oh and the 5 pot warble is nice!

If a mint HGT came up at the right price I'd probably be tempted. Trip down memory lane and it would look good next to the Alfa on the drive

That's originally why I got this 20vt But after getting it home it seems it's too good to break.
When I Do do it I'll probably just get 1 without T or T on it.
