SL-1210's are going every few hours on ebay for around £250 to £300 for a pair!

Mine are still going strong 23 years on although not now under my ownership but my friend who bought them off me 10 years ago.

If you were happy with the stantons then I would recommend the str8-150's. They're a fantastic deck and a lot of people prefer them to technics because of the extra torque.

http://www.skratchworx.com/reviews/str8-150.php

Techs or 150's. Either are fantastic.

Look online to see how much new ones are going for!! They stopped making them a couple of years ago so prices have rocketed. Worth stocking up on spares now as well whilst they're still available. Can get most at HTFR.

Yes Got most of my kit from HTFR many years back I had meant new at HTFR almost a grand a pop.
Ebay ones seem to be collection only. I would arrange a courier same one I use to go and get hard where from the ends of the earth when one of our users cant leave the clients site.

Well I have fixed one.
Turned on but would not start. reason?
The power cable was pinched between the plug and the bridge as it should be but very securely. This had cut the copper cable inside the "Neutral" over how ever many years... Powered on.... any who fixed now and only took an hour to work that one out. dont want to think about the potental heating affect that that may have led too sick

Last edited by Jef_uk; 02/09/2011 00:14. Reason: Buzzing two hours in the mix after two years and actuly amazed that i can do it lol.

Well I have done one and its good in parts tongue I'll try again tomorrow. Recovering from last night. May do one later today. Had a nightmare finding records I wanted. Found some I never new I had and I am not sure if I should leave the bumps and funny noises as I search for the records in the record do-dar my decks are on.
I really wanted to be able to do it unplanned but I'll have to plan it. I have no speakers so I am playing it back on head phones plugged in to the out put from the laptop recording it. The sound of any changes I make is 500ms behind when they happened. kind of off putting and I cant listen to live and cue with out freaking out.

I used to DJ a few years ago but sold my stuff when I had kids. Here's a link to a tread I started. I did upload a Trance mix once but I must of deleted it.

I used to be into dj'in back some years ago, tbh I only got into it cos I got banned from drivin when I was 18 lol Spent a lot of money at htfr on white labels and the gear. When my ban was up and I was back on the rd,I sold all my stuff lol
I still pop onto sound cloud as I know a few dj's that dj for the clubs in Blackpool, some of the mixes on there are pretty wicked smile I'll have a listen later tonight when I'm ok the comp thumb

No but I wish I had a tape(DAT). I have managed to corrupt my recording, I had recorded it to a NAS as I had no free space. Then when I tried to encode it I ran out of scratch space on my laptop so I put that on the NAS and some where along the line I think when I tried to split the 4 hour do-da in two it went pop frown

TUNE! It's on this album which I'm currently listening to. A lazy rehash of songs on many other albums but still laugh
