Maybe it should be in the 'Styling' section!? It should be in the Traders section. 50% of me was being sarcastic, but it IS styling, right? Maybe the pictures should be in Styling and the text should be in Traders?

Too many 'rules' on this forum Maybe it should be in the 'Styling' section!? Who cares. What polisher & polish are you using, Nigel? Oh, how did you apply the snow-foam without a hose? This is assuming your area is affected by the ban?

Speaking of stinking, why are you even here? Not saying your not welcome, but moaning about posts on a forum, for a car that you don't have, attached to a club your not part of. You seem a nice enough guy, but your clearly just trying to pick a fight, as you have no interest in this section, the general running of the forum or the club. Ross

Nigel has yet again advertised another of his buisinesses in the wrong section. Why is he allowed to get away with it? Because he's one of the good old boys? If this was in Styling or Traders then I wouldn't have a problem. I've flagged it up with the Mods but doubt anyone will take notice. After all, it was a Mods car Nigel worked on.

FFS. this really is pointless.
what some of you are saying is Nigel is trying to get more business for putting up pics of proccys car that he spent time in polishing for him.
at what point in this thread did NIGEL say, Any one want it doing to there coupe?
Nope... i didnt see that post..did anyone else?
just had a second look and didnt see a thing.
stop jumping at the idea of an argument.
So just another example..
when i got my re-spray via Joe at FCSS...
i put pics up, as did Joe....
is that looking for business, or just showing people some thing nice to the eyes to look at?
all Nigel has done is polished a car, its one of the most known coupes on the forum...
it means nothing.
get over it.

I just want to clarify, that Nigel is a paid up trader on this forum.
Traders have their own sections; however they are allowed to advertise in moderation in other areas. All the traders do it, whether it be posting on a wanted add or advertising a new product or customers cars.
It is down to the boards discretion, if we feel it’s too much or said person is taking the proverbial then we will speak to them.
Nigel’s Son was notified not to advertise on here as he is not a trader. So it’s hardly us being favourable to Nigel. As far as I’m concerned this has now spoilt what was a great/interesting thread.

So I have to own a coupe to post in coupe related chat??? Tell you what, why don't you make this section just for the people who own coupes Not saying your not welcome
Why am I stinking? I think that's a little harsh. I don't think there's any need to get personal.
you have no interest in this section, the general running of the forum or the club
I'm not saying your stinking, I was merely refering to your comment of "it stinks". That would imply it offends you. Your post offends me because you have no interest in the club/forum etc etc. I'm not trying to pick a fight, as has been said so many times on here, it's a public forum. I don't have to be a paid up member to post.
As above. Nigel has yet again advertised another of his buisinesses in the wrong section.
Why is he allowed to get away with it? Because he's one of the good old boys?
If this was in Styling or Traders then I wouldn't have a problem.
Why wouldn't you have a problem? Let's reverse it, Nigel provides all the pictures to Steve who posts up about how good a job Nigel has done an recomends him. Same difference. Except to do the car justice, I can imagine Steve asked Nigel to post it up, explaining what was done and showing the pictures. Your looking for a negative. Nigel doesn't have a traders section. This isn't a business, its a service to members which barely covers his costs. Patch done something similar. Ross

As per my post above this has been moved to the styling section.
It has nothing to do with Nigel being an Ex Mod or Proccy being on the board.

Nigel is a trader working for Motormech Ross I was typing my post while working, so hadn't seen the other replies. In that case, he should have a section, if this work is connected with Motormech. If not, it's a very grey area. Ross

As you said he does not do this as a job, as you rightly stated its a hobby that he does with his son. The small amount he charges i assume barly covers travel and parts/materials therefore we do not see the need for a dedicated area for this.
If it does take off and it becomes a more regular occurance then it will be required to be stated tthat its under motormechs umbrella or he takes up his own area.
We are no where near that point at the moment

Very much. Same colour as mine AND as it turns out Nigel has used exactly the same products and polisher as I got for my birthday, which puts my mind at rest that I won't arse up my paintwork. So, a useful and worthwhile post from my perspective. But next time, could you blur out the Midlands Car Servicing window sticker please?

I really wanted to do this car - but I realised that spending 4 days in a blowy tent on the welsh coast was better... obviously From the pictures, this was as much of a challenge as any of the cars either myself or Dad have ever done... Here's another example; a picture of an Alfa brera I did for a nice woman from the Alfa forum: My comment "thats harsh" was made because I felt that all Matt did was to join in the story that was running though the thread. And reading it again doesn't change my mind. The wet weekend in Wales, his desire to help his dad and the challange that his dad took-on. Maybe the Alfa ref could be seen as an Ad but in reality it was just pride in his efforts. So if there was any promotions going on it was more for a wet weekend in Wales than anything else. Having said all that.. I do respect and appreciate everything the mods do to keep this forum the great place it is. We just need to look at some other forums to see what slack modderation leads too. And I believe everything is done with the best intentions and the forum at heart. I'm actually going to North Wales this weekend (and it WILL be wet and blowy)!! So Matt...if you ever need a job in the promotions industry... I just thank my lucky stars it didn't make me buy a bloody Alfa

Certainly not wrong there If it's anything like it was yesterday, you'll have a few hail stones thrown in too Looks good Proccy. Any idea what polisher and polish Nigel used? Lol, are you joking? Proccy only knows what his keys look like! He probably even pays someone to put fuel in for him until he figures out how to open the petrol cap Good idea buddy, bring your cleaning kit so you can clean yours and T can clean mine Yeah, sounds about right

But next time, could you blur out the Midlands Car Servicing window sticker please? I could but he'd beat me senseless with his massive nose That sticker is the most expensive component on that pile of rust. Nigel,if you look in this months calender (April) which i might add is the best month, youll see something that is far more shiny. Thats right Proccys sunburnt skin. Maybe a good way of making money would be to sell him some sun cream.Lets face it to cover his entire body would require some coin.
