I had a software update no so long ago. My HTC DesireHD is now on version 2.3.5 which is great. However it does appear to have slowed my phone down.

For a start the time taken to load from off is nearly 2 minutes. It was 1. Furthermore web browsing seems slightly stuttered.

Has anyone else noticed anything similar, or is my phone on it's last legs again? laugh

Try turning on USB debugging.

Go to: menu, settings, applications, development then select USB Debugging.

Dan, thanks for the tip I'll give it a try.

Stan, thanks for the hint. I doubt I would've got sir Barnacle of widgets' reference otherwise. It pre-dates me by a few years.

USB debugging will allow auto download so be aware of that if you choose this route.

By the sounds of it there maybe a confliction after your recent update, you may need to perform a factory reset as the latest firmware made my Desire super fast.

Funny enough Joe, my phone went for repair a few months back and it came back super fast after they had reset it all.

I may just go down that route. At least I should then have a good starting point if it still isn't right.

Sounds rather messy.

Any chance your phone can use 4.0?

I did some searching and it should get an official update to 4 in the near future.

Hopefully my brothers sensation gets it first so I can judge it before I upgrade.
