How do you do it, saw it off and then use a die to re-thread it? Or is it a bit more complicated?

barbz conversion doesnt shorten the gear stick just the throw. ive had it done and its great and i also cut a good three inches off mine... much much better

cannot comment on the 16v but the 20vt, your able to cut at least 1 1/2 inches off the shaft. makes it feel alot nicer but personally i would like to have got the short throw kit instead

no gear stick included, he just takes a trip to the welder modifies the linkages.
