Unfortunately I'm out

Really wanted to do this but can't expect Stuart to watch while everyone else is whizzing round

I will be coming along to watch anyway

I am sure there will be a few of us watching?

At least this won't be savagely competitive

I personally think the 'champion' should be judged on best laptime, agreed? Otheriwse its not fair for those who have kart troubles or get rammed off the track by people that cant drive, like Kevin.

There is no way any girl is beating my time. Two things..

- Who is bring scales?

- Who is sorting the helmet/back of suit labels?

Shabba - then all you'll do is drive on the absolute limit and come off three laps in four trying to get a better lap time! If you come off it's your fault... (yes even if you'r barged off...cos you put yourself in that position anyway. Though you'll know the chaps name, so you could always have a nice quiet word with him.. ) and if your kart blows up that just bad luck.

perhaps we'd better run one at a time - five laps each and just see who has the quickest laptime?

I totally agree with Si here,

Shabba this is not qualifying mate its a grand prix . We have 10 mins qualifying at the start so you can show us all how bad you really are then.

The reason last time u blew tyres/kart up was because you were trying to create short cuts over the grass if you drive a little better this time im sure you wont finish last again

Im happy to bring scales - somes just remind me beforehand.

Oh and Sal who is the daddy of Golf now

Yep, racing is racing. If you lose it, get barged off or retire that's just tough.

All you will get for fastest lap is a bit of pride, maybe some respect if others didn't see you spinning every other lap... and that is what the qualifying is for! (that said I prefer to start down near the back so I can do some overtaking)

I'll sort labels. Already knocked some up, just need to finalise names of guest and if they want a nice little picture next to the names too.

Tbh if you're a big bloke in a kart (and we're all going to be 'big' for these centrifugally clutched hunks of junk) and you're putting in 110% effort to get the fastest lap, in reality you'll be slowing yourself down. Hooning about and sliding gratuitously is a sure way to lose seconds per lap. There is commitment and then there's just being silly.

The winner of the race generally gets the fastest lap too in my experience. Control + speed =

I can recommend the db diet, dont eat for 3-4 days, then take neurofen tablets, they will cause an internal hemerage and you will loose blood fast. Worked for me, I lost 2 stone in 2 weeks. I hear Civic also tried the more extreme 'typhoid' diet once, hard to beat for results.

Kevin,

I will not be taking the bait and rising to your slanderous comment. We'll be sorting this out on the track like real men

Joe,

No worries for leaving me off, it's probably because I'm so quiet I'm easily overlooked
