In the rain though. 2 hours of driving. Kept up with some of the Elise's present and quite a few 997's - straights and corners. There was also a Dodge Viper. Top speed 120 but to be honest it would have been a lot more fun in the dry. Many nasty gripless spots of old rubber on the track due to the water and with many slow corners not a chance of putting the power down to scrabble out of them or make the best of the Pagid R29's, probably only using 20% or so of their braking capacity in the wet. Anyways, seems like everyone was having the same problem so hey. Fastest on track was a Miata with 140bhp or so.
Anyone been to Zandvoort and can comment on how it is in the dry? It has a few sweeping fast ones that you definitely don't want to get wrong in the wet.
Lol, the mx-5's definately weren't the fastest They did very well though, but were both track prepared and had great drivers. Loads of speedsters (vx220) and Elise's out there. Some quick, some not (very much dependant on tyres and drivers skill).
The S2000 was also good fun on track and nice to see my ex-coupe going round the track. Also love the pics of the coupe they made
That was a careful lap, 2:40. Would love to drive it in the dry. Don't like the wet on a track like that where there's many corners you can't see until 150m before them and loads of rubber that gets very very slippery.
