Sorry, I thought it only came out a day or two earlier for subscribers, not almost a week. But it gives you a few more days to build up your hopes even higher!

Just seen it, a pretty good article, but someone has stolen my turbo! So I now have read. Hmmmm!! Dan, i cant believe what they said about being the only one with aftermartket wheels and destroying a beautiful car.. Erm, look at Petes newly created 16v na Nice write up indeed, the biggest thing for me was how yellow they made Begbies 16v (not-so-yellow) turbo. Hurrah for paintshop

It's worth buying the magazine to determine, once and for all, which model is the ultimate Coupe. Bah. You dont need to buy the magazine for that Roadking. We all know the 16NA is the ultimate Coupe.

...is right to have chosen the atmospheric over the forced-induction ...zappy, zingy, throttle response ...wants to do its best work at the top of the rev range ...benefits of doing without a turbo are obvious. The responsive nature is mirrored in the handling.
Obviously a professional and unbiased source, though I note he didn't use the descriptor "ultimate", Neil

Well - 10 year thread resurrection Got the back issue a few days ago and the featured coupes - where are they now? MKZ 3426 - still alive and kicking K2OUP - now an Audi but coupe could have gone back to original plate? CFC213Y - now a BMW but ditto above N96LAP - was alive and kicking until January this year. N100ODD - still with us N707GLF - was with us until October last year. Time to get your sleeves rolled up Neil There's seven featured but can't make out the final registration. Is it yours Pete? Anyway after 10 years not a bad tally and a credit to real enthusiasts

Anyway after 10 years not a bad tally and a credit to real enthusiasts N96LAP is very much alive and kicking Alan, I just have not got round to getting it MOT'd yet: there didn't seem much point with lockdown, particularly as I have the X1/9 which is now 41 years old and thus free VED. I keep it permanently insured though From memory the 7th car was one owned by HoveDan is Begbie's much modified 16VT (I have just read the article) K2OUP may have belonged to HoveDan, CFC metallic sprint blue was owned by Marco20valve turbo N100 belongs to Roadking of this parish The modified yellow 16V turbo belongs to Begbie. Mine also appeared in issue 151 (Nov/Dec 2008) along with MCMike's trusty red LE , Will Bishop's modified silver 20VT and Luke Johnson's 171 mph modified Ink black 20VT.

Well - 10 year thread resurrection Got the back issue a few days ago and the featured coupes - where are they now? N96LAP - was alive and kicking until January this year. There's seven featured but can't make out the final registration. Is it yours Pete? Anyway after 10 years not a bad tally and a credit to real enthusiasts N96LAP is very much alive and kicking Alan, I just have not got round to getting it MOT'd yet: there didn't seem much point with lockdown, particularly as I have the X1/9 which is now 41 years old and thus free VED. I keep it permanently insured though I took it for it's MOT this afternoon,. Result - a pass with no advisories again. I will tax it from May now it's more likely to be used.
16VT and X1/9 1500
We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.
